[Guide] How to update your kRO (data.grf and rdata.grf)

Alot of players are getting errors because of outdated data.grf and rdata.grf

So heres a guide on how to update your kRO

First you will need these 2 files
(Links below. Just click it to download)

rsu-kro-rag-lite
rsu-kro-renewal-lite


Extract it to your FreedomRO folder and open them both together

After updating them both, you should get a message "Patch Process Complete" then click CLOSE. Do not click start as it will give your data.grf errors.


Alternatively, the patcher might fail to patch up because of the old files. You will get a message like this "Failed to get patch 20xx-xx-xxdata_x.xxx". You will need to download patch8(data.grf) and patchRE3(rdata.grf).
*Note: Try patching it multiple times before you use patch8 and patchRE*

patchRE3.zip (rdata.grf)


After downloading patch8 and patchRE3. Extract it on your FreedomRO folder.

Open patch8 and target data.grf
*Note: Make sure you target data.grf and nothing else*

Then open patchRE3 and target rdata.grf
*Note: Make sure you target rdata.grf and nothing else*

After you use patch8 and patchRE3, open your rsu-kro-rag-lite and rsu-kro-renewal-lite and let it patch!

It should work perfectly now! You have just updated your data.grf and rdata.grf

*Note: Again DO NOT CLICK START after you patched up. Instead click CLOSE or else you will have problems on your data.grf and rdata.grf*
